Female Jiu-Jitsu’s dynamic duo sealed a special sponsorship deal today.
Gabrielle Garcia and Luanna Alzuguir shall henceforth wear distinguished Brazilian soccer side Corinthians’s emblem on their gis.
That’s right, Corinthians Paulista Sports Club is the latest sponsor for the Alliance world champions.
Corinthian fan Gabi spoke with emotion when addressing her beloved team having joined the realm of fight sports: “We signed a contract this Monday afternoon. The club is investing a lot in a number of sports. They’re hiring a number of top athletes. We’ll continue training and fighting for Alliance, but with the team’s emblem on our gis.”
The contract is for one year.
After Ronaldo, now it’s Luanna and Gabi’s turn to join the “Bando de Loucos” (“Band of Nutjobs”), as the cheering section chants

The ADCC North American federation held its 2nd Championships this past weekend in San Diego, California USA.
Competitors from all across Canada and the USA competed for the final qualification slots for the upcoming world championships to be held in September in Nottingham England.
Winners will get a chance to be crowned the best submission fighters in the world as they head to England to compete against the other qualifiers and worlds best!
The North American Federation would like to thank all of the competitors who came out to compete, as well as the coaches and spectators as well as sponsors for supporting this event.

WFE Platinum #9 terá cinco disputas de cinturão
O sábado, 14 de maio, promete entrar para a história do MMA baiano e nacional. A nona edição do WFE Platinum vai invadir a área de eventos do Grand Hotel Stella Maris, em Salvador, com nada menos de cinco disputas de cinturão do show, com transmissão ao vivo pelo canal Combate. Para se ter uma idéia, apenas a categoria meio pesado – o campeão é o candango Guto Inocente, que recentemente assinou com o Strikeforce – não terá o título em disputa. O produtor do evento, Júnior Luzbel, justifica a prateleira cheia. “O WFE Platinum tem de se superar sempre a cada show. Valorizamos muito nossos lutadores e as disputas de cinturão são um prêmio pelo entretenimento que eles têm nos proporcionado a cada evento”, elogiou.

A disputa começa entre os galos, até 66 quilos. O potiguar Rony Jason, que surpreendeu o favorito Jurandir Sardinha na ultima edição, ganhou a chance de brigar pelo título contra o local, Leonardo Laiola, que se credenciou ao derrotar Chinzo Machida. Subindo uma categoria, mais um duelo Rio Grande do Norte/Bahia. O campeão Jorjão Rodrigues bate de frente com Neilson Gomes, que vem de três vitórias seguidas. Nos meio médios, até 77 quilos, a disputa será pelo cinturão interino. Rodrigo Taigra e Zezão Trator terão a chance de vestir a “cinta” provisória. Contudo, a interinidade pode ser por pouco tempo, como avisa o promotor Luiz Fernando Menezes. “O vencedor de Taigra versus Trator vai lutar contra o campeão Edilberto Crocotá no WFE Platinum #10, que acontece em setembro”, avisou.

Dando seguimento, o invicto Bruno Carioca colocará mais uma vez seu cinturão em jogo, desta vez contra Jonas Bueno, vencedor do GP dos médios do evento gaúcho, Machine of Fight 4. Carioca venceu o experiente Daniel Acácio em sua última combate. A luta principal promete muitas emoções e provocações. Os pesos pesados, Ednaldo Lula, detentor do cinturão, e Edson Conterrâneo já começaram as afrontas. O primeiro avisa que vai nocautear, enquanto o segundo garante botar pra dormir com uma guilhotina.
