Sergio Moraes, Vella and Kyra shine at Rio Open
After they shut out the absolute category on Saturday, Sergio Moraes and Gabriel Vella reigned supreme at black belt at the Rio International Open. On Sunday, the two Alliance athletes won the middleweight and ultra heavyweight categories. Fabio Gurgel's team also took the lightweight division, with Michael Langhi. Serginho commented on his good performance and confirmed his star status after the 2008 Worlds, when he surprised everyone by submitting Kron Gracie and taking the middleweight category by storm: "Thank the Lord I've been managing to get marvelous results this whole year. There's no such thing as being invincible, but what is important is to always be strong."
