Emirates Jiu-Jitsu team News/school:
56 new brazilian teachers of Jiu-Jitsu have just arrived in Abu Dhabi. They are gonna be part of the sucessful project started last school year – the School-Jitsu. The 2009/2010 project consists of 42 government schools from ADEC- ABU DHABI EDUCATION COUNCIL, including 6 girls schools, where students from 9 to 13 years old have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes as part of the curricular grade. Around 20 thousand kids traning bjj in Abu Dhabi for 2009/2010.
This project was a special request of H.H. Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Emirates Team Head Coach Carlos Santos, now also Manager Director of the School-Jitsu Project, that started in 2008. In May this year H.H. Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan said he expects in 2015 up to 500 schools participating in the School –Jitsu program.
