New Zealand’s most elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters are on count down for the Abu Dhabi Pro New Zealand event which will take place in November.
As a host of this famous event, the highest performers will get to battle it out for the world title.
The event is taking place on the 22nd of November 2009 at the North Shore AUT campus, with the champions given an amazing opportunity to compete for New Zealand at the Abu Dhabi Competition next year in 2010.
The qualifiers of this New Zealand competition will have the opportunity to show their skills and fight against other highly skilled Jiu Jitsu fighters and grapplers from all over New Zealand.
This event has attracted people from so many different countries and cultures such as Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji and all pacific islands. The New Zealand Trials will be a great opportunity to get all the south pacific together for the biggest brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition ever made in New Zealand.
The champions of this event will have their airline tickets paid for plus accommodation and meals while representing New Zealand.
We have been given this amazing opportunity to host the Pro Tour here in New Zealand, with the support of the government of Abu Dhabi, supported personally by his Highness the Supreme Prince and commander in Chief of the United Arab National Army, H. H. Sheik Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
This will be a very recognized and remembered event and will be the birth of Jiu Jitsu here in New Zealand, the sport is already highly recognizable and will soon explode all over the world, to hopefully one day being apart of the Olympic games.
