Cassio Werneck Seminar in Jordan
Cassio Werneck, world BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) champion and a member of the elite Brazilian Top Team, arrives today in Amman , Jordan. Coming all the way from Sacramento California the Brazilian World Champion he will be holding the annual BJJ seminar in the Kingdom. His seminars are held at one of his students, Zaid Mirza (Brown Belt) Academy. Zaid who introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Jordan 4 years ago already hit the 1000 student mark at his academy. Wernecks main objective is to prepare the team for the upcoming tournaments; the Emirates International Cup in December and the European tournament in January. "I feel greatly honored to work with the Jordanian Jiu-Jitsu team because they are very dedicated and like to learn. Their success shows this in every tournament they compete in", added the World Champion. Jordan team was ranked first and second place in the last 3 consecutive years at the Emirates cup and Abu Dhabi Cup.
