Abu Dhabi Combat Club
The Idea:
The team was the idea of a UAE national who whilst studying in the USA became a fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Shortly after he started studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Prof. Nelson Monterio Jr. in his San Diego Academy and upon finishing his studies in the USA, he convinced Prof. Nelson Monterio to move to Abu Dhabi, and hence Abu Dhabi Combat Team was born. Now we study mainly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but cross train in Boxing, Kickboxing, Judo, Wrestling and various other arts beneficial to No Rules Fighting.
We currently have few team members who compete in various Grappling tournaments and professional fights arround the world - George Delchev, Lubomir Guedjev, Peter Ivanov, Khalil Ibrahim, Yousef Al Alami, Hassem Mousa.
Our Goal:
The goals of Abu Dhabi Combat Club are to generally promote a healthy lifestyle by educating members in nutrition and to train people in all aspects of self defence, which in turn builds self-confidence.
Our President:
The President of Abu Dhabi Combat Club is H.E. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Vice President of Abu Dhabi Combat Club is H.E. Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
