GRACIE IN SCOTLAND:
Gracie Family returns to its origins in Scotland
On 29 September 2007, Reyson Gracie received the keys to the city of Dumfries (Scotland) from the hands of local authorities in an official cerimony at Loreburn Hall. Reyson, the great-great-grandson of George Gracie, a citizen of Dumfries who left for Brazil in 1826, is the first member of the Gracie family to return to the city. Reyson, who holds a 9o degree red belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, gave an introductory class of the “soft art” to the local martial arts community. At this historical event, he was accompanied by his daugther Kendra Gracie and her partner Martin Pullinger.
