2007 Worlds Final Adjustments + Brackets Should be Up later today
Latest from the IBJJF website has contender Andre Galvao dropping from the medium-heavy to the medium weight and Rafael Lovato Jr going up to the Super-Super Heavy (pesadissimo). Right now the IBJJF is doing the drawing for the draw at Jiu-Jitsu Pro Gear store and Tournament director Marcelo "Siriema" stated that the brackets should be up at the www.ibjjf.org site later today!
The tournament goes down on August 23 - 26th at the Cal State Long Beach U Pyramid. For more info check out www.ibjjf.org

EMIRATES BJJ TEAM IS REINFORCED!
Emirates BJJ Team with leader Carlao Santos and with total support from Sheikh Zayed Bin Muhamad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Major General Mohamad Hilal Al Kaabi has secured the servies of 3 more Black BJJ Belts. They are Sid Jacinto, Marcelo Mota and Ricardo Brandao. All are champions from Carlson Gracie/BTT.
Now the Emirates Team based on the famous ADCC Club has 6 renowed Black Belts: Carlao Santos, Suyan Queiroz, Olavo Abre, Sid Jacinto, Marcelo Mota and Ricardo Brandao. Emirates Team is patroned by Armed Forces Officers Club and Caracal.

Weight-Ins start at 9:00am / Tournament starts 12:00pm
The Academy that wins the division will receive a THROWDOWN DESERT QUEST championship trophy, and be crowned the overall DESERT QUEST champion.
All adult competitors will receive a THROWDOWN Tournament T-Shirt, and a Desert Quest Certificate
Adult entry fee: $50.00 for one Division or $70.00 for both. Absolute only $70.00 Absolute & Two divisions $90.00
Kids (under 13) and teens (13-17) entry fee: $30.00 for one division for both $40.00 ·
All Kids competitors will receive a medal and a Desert Quest Certificate
Kids and teens division winner will receive a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Trophy.
Adult 1ST Place winners of will be awarded a Trophy, 2nd and 3rd Place will be awarded a medal
Adult weight classes: 147 & Under / 148-160 / 161-173 / 174-187 / 188-201 / 202-213 / 214 & Over
Executive weight classes 35 years old & up (must show ID): 160 & Under / 161 - 187 / 189 & Over
There will be a two separate 3 division tournament (Gi only) and (No Gi ) only money weight divisions, each division winners will receive $100.00, and a THROWDOWN DESERT QUEST CHAMPIONSHIP BELT. ($20.00 fee per competitors applied to tournament.)
