2007 Worlds Just Around the Corner

The 2007 BJJ Worlds is just around the corner. The event goes down on August 23 through the 26th at the Cal State Long Beach U Pyramid, in Long Beach, Ca. This promises to be the most diverse and internationals of Worlds even with already over 1000 competitors from over 20 countries registered to participate. Many top competitors have already signed up but many of the Worlds best are still sitting on teh sideline waiting for the last minute to sign up (for strategic purposes) .

The final dealine to register is fast approaching as 2 pre-registration deadlines have passed! The fee for registration (received August 6, 2007 through midnight, August 16, 2007) will be $120.00. ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MIDNIGHT August 16, 2007, (GMT - 7, Greenwich Mean Time). Also, note that registration fee(s) are non-refundable.

From August 10th to August 12th, Roberto Traven Jiu Jitsu in conjunction with Unit 2 Fitness will be hosting the definitive BJJ Mundial camp! There will be 4 sessions in total to get all competitors ready for the Mundials. Teaching will be the legendary Roberto 'Spider' Traven, 2x BJJ open weight champion Rodrigo 'Comprido' Medeiros and Roberto Traven black belt/ world champion Ze Mario 'Esfiha'.

> Friday Agust 10th 8pm-9:30pm
> Saturday August 11th 1:30pm-3:30pm
> Saturday August 11th 6:30pm-8:30pm
> Sunday August 12th 11:30pm-1:30pm.

World Champions Felipe Costa & Rodrigo "Comprido" Jiu-Jitsu Camp September 15th through the 22nd

September 15th through the 22nd, 2007 we will be hosting a Jiu-Jitsu camp in Corolla, NC. We will train twice a day and room and board are included. Todd Crompton the head Chef and owner of Brocks Riverside Grill in Fredericksburg has agreed to attend the camp and cook for us. The food will be excellent.

Training Details:

We will train twice a day except the day of arrival and the day of departure which we will only train once on those days.
Cost:

The cost of the camp is $1,000 which includes room and board and training. Double occupancy is required. We will pair you with a suitable room mate if you come alone.

Please remember to bring with you:

- Beach towel (towels for showering and linens are provided.)

- Gi’s

- No Gi grappling attire

The house is very nice and newly built and has its own pool, hot tub, pool table and tv with DVD player in every room. The house has a washer and dryer.

The house is located in the resort community of Corolla Light which has been rated the #1 resort community of North Carolina for most of the last 10 years including last year. The training facility we have at the resort is fantastic and includes an Olympic size indoor pool, clay tennis courts, volley ball courts, weight room and much, much more.
