Jean Jacques Machado is the fourth of the five Machado Brothers (in descending order, Carlos, Roger, Rigan, Jean, and John). He was a very active child since the beginning, playing soccer, rollerblade hockey, and ultimately, becoming a Jiu-Jitsu icon on his own right. I forgot to mention though, that each of the sports he committed himself to—he excelled way above the average.
In soccer, he was scouted by big league teams from Rio de Janeiro; in hockey, he was selected for the national team, and won state and national level titles; and of course, in Jiu-Jitsu, he accomplished himself as a one-of-a-kind competitor, setting the standards in events like the Abu Dhabi submission wrestling world championships (one of the most prestigious events for Jiu-Jitsu competitors), and several other amazing feats.
