The last day for EARLY registration is Thursday, October 12th by 11:59 pm PST. The price for early registration is $65 Thereafter, the FINAL deadline for tournament registration is Monday, October 16th by 11:59 pm. Weigh-ins On the Mat Before your Match!
We will weigh each competitor before his or her first match. You get ONLY ONE CHANCE to make weight WITH YOUR GI ON, so PLEASE be sure to register for the correct category in order to avoid DISQUALIFICATION.
Also, be sure that your gi is all of one color--Black, Blue or White, no mixed gis (i.e., white top with black Bottoms).

Vermont Open Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling Championship - from the promoter

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu United States Association, the Martial Way Self Defense Center, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Revolution Team and the Vermont Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defense Academy, would like to cordially invite you and your team to the biggest grappling event in Vermont’ history.

Vermont Open Grappling Championship 2006, to be held Saturday, November 11th, 2006 at the prestigious “Winooski Education Center Arena, in Winooski, Vermont” will feature some of the top competitors in the East Coast and Canada. This exciting event will have over 70 divisions including children’s and teen’s gi, women’s gi and no-gi, men’s gi and men’s no-gi.

The tournament is open to all Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies, to all martial arts and martial artists and styles (judo, wrestling, submission grappling, aikido, sambo, etc.), athletes, spectators, family, etc. The tournament will have children, juniors, adult, senior, male and female, divisions from Novice, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced experience levels

Beautiful awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu books (For Expert’s Only) to 1st place winners and a Competition Team Award for the school that has more 1st place winners.

Thank you all in advance for your cooperation and support. We cannot do this without all of you, and thank you for your continue practice and support of our art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Let’s play fair, safe and good luck for all of you. This will be a great tournament and promises to be one of the best in the country. Get ready and we’ll see you in Vermont!

2nd Amsterdam Open
The 2nd Amsterdam Open takes place on on 15th of October with 200 euro for
the No Gi Open Class Winner. Special guest is Professor Marocs Barbosa.

There will be a seminar with Prof. the day before the event at the same location as the tournament.

Every group of four people that goes to the seminar gets one free place (one guy doesn't pay)

Brazillian Jiu-jitsu seminar with Alliance Jiu-jitsu Black Belt Felipe 'Zicro' Neto.

October 21st 2006 at the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Institute in Downigtown, PA, USA.

-The seminar will be 3 hours in duration from 11Am to 2 Pm.

-One day semninar

-The seminar wil be foucus on sport/competitio jiu-jitsu techniques such as: defending the guard, sweeping and reversals.

Zicro has plenty of experience teaching and is fluent in English as he was the assistant instrucotr at the Alliance Atlanta academy for many years. Zicro is also a graduate in Physical Education, Post graduation sport personal trainer.

Pan american medalist, Champion of Rio de janeiro state championships end many locals tournament in Brasil, Champ of Florida state Championships, Calhoum submission open and MMA.

Felipe Costa going to Europe for the next two months
Felipe Costa has just finish his first month giving the Personal training Program, he was in Mexico , Alaska , Texas , California , Tennessee and NY.

While in Tennessee Felipe finish filming 2 instructional DVDs that will be launch before the end of the year among with a documentary DVD

By the end of this week Felipe will go to Europe where he will be conducting seminars in Belgium (Leuven, Antwerp and Gent), Spain and Poland during October and November.
