The date has been announced officially for the most important event on the Australian grappling calendar. The ADCC 2007's South Pacific Trials will be conducted at the Whitehorse Aqualink Sports Facility in Melbourne, Australia on February 25th, 2007.

Earlier this year we held a seeding competition in Sydney for these trials with the winners earning a guaranteed place and a positive position in the draw for these all important trials.

From the upcoming trials in February the winners earn an all expenses paid trip to Trenton, New Jersey, USA for the 8th Submission Fighting World Championships scheduled for May 5th and 6th of 2007.compete against the best the World has to offer at the World Championships.

The competition is open to all competitors of Australian or New Zealand citizenship. The only way someone may not be able to compete is if a division is too large it will be cut back and invitations extended to those with the most experience. All applications will need to be in by Tuesday February 20th 2007.

You can download entry forms, rules and all the information needed from www.extremejjg.com in the next few days.

This competition will be overseen once again by the officials from Abu Dhabi and a team of International judges so let’s make this a big day of competition and support the sport!
